What methods do you work with?
We have no standard programme, we have a buffet: methods that are scientifically studied and proven in practice. Which of them work for you is something we find out together. It differs from person to person and cannot be settled in advance at a desk. Four tools form the foundation of any serious approach:
- Goal setting. Goals that pull you rather than crush you, and that you can check at the end of a day.
- Inner dialogue. What you say to yourself when it gets tight. The sentence before the start decides more than the last trim adjustment.
- Visualisation. Running the manoeuvre, the race, the harbour entrance through your head until it is familiar, before you sail it for the first time.
- Managing emotion and tension. Breathing, attention control, anchors and rituals that reliably put you in the state you need right now.
Beyond that it depends on what you bring: start routines, attention anchors for long legs, handling pressure from outside, work on your own role in the crew.
