Mental training for youth sailors

Young sailors carry a pressure few people see: the nerves before the start, the frustration after a slip, a head full of noise. Mental training gives them tools to stay calm and find the signal at the right moment – so nerves turn back into anticipation.
We work in an age-appropriate, playful way, without extra performance pressure. It’s not about getting „tougher“, but clearer: turning down the inner noise (Volume), locking out the noise (Squelch), getting back in the game quickly after a mistake.
What your child takes away: more calm at the start, less fear of mistakes, more joy in sailing.
Channel Zero Sailing usually offers mental training for children and young people as part of club training – just ask at your club. Longer-term, individual coaching is also possible.
