Information for parents

You want to support your child without adding more pressure – that’s the art. Mental training takes part of that balancing act off your hands: your child learns to handle nerves, setbacks and expectations, and you learn how best to accompany them at the dock and in the car after the regatta.
What you’ll find here: how the training works, what it gives your child, and how you as parents keep their back free without unintentionally overwhelming them.
Parents are part of the success and key members of the young sailor’s team. Every individual training includes, on request, a parent consultation – because creating the right environment is about more than driving and paying.
Mental training for children and young people is usually offered as part of club training. Please ask your club. Longer-term, individual coaching is of course also possible.
