A14
How much do I have to do myself?
Mental training is an independent part of professional training, not an add-on. Like technique, tactics and fitness, it needs time, seriousness and regularity to work. It is also a question of attitude: treat it as a side dish and you will experience it as one. Between sessions there is practice, reliably and in small doses.
The aim behind it is independence. We give you methods you can apply without us, and we work on principle towards making ourselves unnecessary. That does not mean a long engagement is a bad sign — accompanying a development across several seasons is something different from making you dependent on a method. The difference is whether you end up holding the tools yourself or always need someone to hold them for you.
