Why don’t you call it ‘mental training’ everywhere?

Because the phrase puts many people off and runs empty quickly on a website. We say it just as readily as: head work, mental seamanship, learning composure, building assurance. And we often say it through the benefit: groundwork for enjoyment, groundwork for performance, groundwork for success.
