Why sailors, and not just any mental coach?

Because you do not need an interpreter. Nobody has to explain to us what a botched start costs, how the third night feels, or what happens when your family is watching from the cockpit while the berthing goes wrong. Any school will teach you the seamanship. None of them will teach you the composure.
