E4

Does this happen on board, ashore or online?

All three, mixed. Mental training lends itself unusually well to a hybrid form, because part of the work is a conversation and another part can only happen where things get serious.

  • Ashore, in person. Our preferred form wherever the distance allows. For foundations, workshops, crew days, club and school formats.
  • Online, by video or telephone. Bridges distance without the work suffering. For preparation, review and ongoing support across a season, this is the normal case anyway.
  • On board, sailing with you. For everything that can only be grasped in the moment itself: harbour manoeuvres, leaving the berth, the first night sail, a crew under pressure. On the boat and at competitions we come along subject to personal availability and individual agreement.

A typical programme mixes them: preparation online, a day in person, a day on board, then ongoing support by video and messenger.
