Can we be present?
We arrange that individually, and there are three routes.
The route we prefer is firmly scheduled joint conversations between you, your child and us. They cover goals, the current position, and expressly your own role as well. What your child confides to us on their own stays with them.
The second route is work with you alone. In that case you are the ones being trained, not your child. The subject is your role as shore crew: what you say on the pontoon, what you say in the car after the race, how you handle a bad day without making it bigger. That is a service in its own right, and often the most effective one in the whole system.
The third route is that you sit in on your child’s training. That is possible where it is necessary, with younger children for instance. In our experience it is not the ideal arrangement, because children speak differently in the presence of their parents.
